Petros Tatsopoulos
Born in Rethymnon, Crete in 1959, Petros Tatsopoulos entered the heart of contemporary Greek literature with his first novel The Juveniles published in 1980. The Painkiller, The Heart of the Beast, and The Game of the Four continued the joy ride through carnivorous social currents.
"The first enemy is language. Controlling language controls emotions and thoughts."
His films Across the Way and Underground Drive italicized a generation of generalized youth, as did his collections of stories Cartoons, Comedy and essays Pepper on the Tongue and The Tree and the Forest.
The Spiritual World is forthcoming.
Petros Tatsopoulos lives in Athens.
